I went to nine schools across Western Australia and Queensland, and left high school when I had nowhere good to live. I spent my teenage years wandering between cattle stations, then ran a fencing company. At eighteen, I left for Canada to work on ranches and oil rigs. A year later, I came home to Australia ready to make some moves.

I flew a littleclose to the sun

Tesla and Apple were the best companies on Earth, so I set out to build the “iPhone car” from a Lund University basement. Seven years as CEO of a multinational public company (not traded)—with hundreds of team members and thousands of investors—became the greatest education of my life. We didn’t make it through COVID.

04 SWEDEN → GUATEMALA

My life isan adventure

During COVID, I bought a boat and sailed away from Sweden with almost no experience. I learned underway—through the North Sea, the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay, down Europe’s orca gauntlet, across the Atlantic, then around the Caribbean for two years before reaching Guatemala. I lived on my boat in Guatemala, then Mexico, Panama and Colombia. Now I’m in Thailand, surrounded by computers.
